Duneira Estate is an original hill station and grand garden on Mount Macedon. Duneira was first established in 1872 by pastoralist Suetonius Officer.
At 820 Meters above sea level, Duneira offers visitors a unique insight into the lives and ambitions of the wealthy during colonial times in Australia. Today, Duneira's garden is spectacular with towering rhododendrons, hundreds of unique Mollis Azaleas, heritage listed trees, grand lawns, a secret garden and flower beds filled with perennials.
The house built in 1875 is a Victorian Italianate Mansion which now showcases the last owner of Duneira, Stuart Stoneman's outstanding Art Collection. Duneria Estate now runs an arts program including workshops, lectures, concerts, an annual Bluebell Festival, open garden days and events.

Duneria is absolutely stunning.
We hosted an event there and the staff were the most accomodating, easy, and relaxed you could ever find.
The gardens are divine, but there are so many different locations and undercover areas within the estate, even with poor weather it works well.
Beautiful venue, beautiful garden, beautiful experience!

We visited this garden during the Easter long weekend.
I love Macedon and I appreciated all private garden owners who generously open for the public to share your beautiful well maintained garden.
The long path from the gate was lovely scenery to walk.
There were orchard , the stable, private house, lama farm,
It was well design but much small compared to other private garden in the area where I visited in the past. It takes me only 30 mints to walk all garden area.
Other private garden charge enter fee for $10 but here charge $12. remember to bring cash !!

This garden is a breathtaking sight, with its long walk of trees displaying an array of warm, vibrant colors. The spacious layout allows for a tranquil atmosphere, as visitors can meander through winding paths, enveloped by the nature. Small fountain, lamas, and benches further enhance the garden's beauty, offering visitors a chance to relax and soak in the scenery. In the midst of the hustle and bustle of daily life, one to hours here are a must.

Beautiful gardens. More enjoyable to stroll around than a lot of public botanical gardens I've visited. Very nicely maintained.
