I found the 1-day workshop really enlightening, hearing the lived experience of the presenters and their relationship with culture. The tone of the workshop was conversational, welcoming participants questions. Some asked things that made me cringe, but the presenters answered all questions in a compassionate, respectful and generous way. I went away with a better understanding of the Djaara Cultural Competency Program. I found the experience very moving, hearing lived, generational experiences of Djaara families, giving context to the challenges facing them today, it was insightful, and showed how I can better engage in future. Thanks for the great opportunity to connect more deeply with your stories, Culture, and Country of the Dja Dja Wurrung People, upon which I work and live.
