Gipsy Point Lodge is a tranquil retreat with a licensed restaurant (selected days) in a unique and unspoiled natural environment, abounding in bird and animal life. Situated at the junction of the Genoa and Wallagaraugh Rivers.
Gipsy Point Lodge offers both well-appointed guest rooms with views of river and garden views and three self-contained cottage accommodation.
The guest rooms all feature garden or river views, ensuites, air conditioning, kitchenette and comfortable beds. Linen is supplied. The self-contained cottages include a well equipped kitchen with dining area.
The fully licensed restaurant (selected days) offers a dining area and a sundeck overlooking the Genoa River and three acres of gardens with abundant bird and wildlife such as koalas and kangaroos. Please check the website or social media for details.
The Private jetty on the Genoa River make this the perfect option for a boating, fishing or kayaking holiday in this beautiful part of the world. Hobie kayaks or canoe can be hired over summer and if you have your own boat, there is parking available.

Mulloway Nature Lovers Self Contained Cottage
All of of the Gipsy Point Lodge self-contained cottages include: Bed linens and towels provided, well equipped kitchen with dining area, gas stove and oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, utensils, quality crockery, cutlery, stainless steel pots and pans, coffee plunger, wine glasses, air-conditioning, outdoor eating area and barbecue, LCD television with DVD player. Mulloway is a three room fully air-conditioned cottage comprising a main bedroom with queen bed, second bed-sitting room, bathroom, separate kitchen-dining area and sundeck with barbecue. Suitable for couples or groups/families of twoto three people. Can also have a second single bed in the bed/sitting room.
Chief Engineers Self Contained Cottage
All of of the Gipsy Point Lodge self-contained cottages include: Bed linens and towels provided, well equipped kitchen with dining area, gas stove and oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, utensils, quality crockery, cutlery, stainless steel pots and pans, coffee plunger, wine glasses, air-conditioning, outdoor eating area and barbecue, television with DVD player. Chief Engineer’s is a single bedroom, fully air-conditioned cottage with a queen and single bed, separate kitchen-dining area, bathroom and large secluded balcony with barbecue. Suitable for couples or groups/families of two to three people.
Whipbird Nature Friendly Self Contained Family Cottage
All of of the Gipsy Point Lodge self-contained cottages include: Bed linen and towels provided, well equipped kitchen with dining area, gas stove and oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, utensils, quality crockery, cutlery, stainless steel pots and pans, wine glasses, air-conditioning, outdoor eating area and barbecue, LCD television with DVD player. Whipbird is a spacious two bedroom unit with a queen and three single beds, large family bathroom including bath, separate air-conditioned kitchen and living area, paved terrace and barbecue. Suitable for groups or families of four to five people. Just an easy walk to the private jetty five minutes down the hill to the river. Get back to Nature and away from the hustle and bustle in this quiet paradise.
Queen and Single Room with Riverview
The three River View Guest Rooms all look out across gardens to the Genoa River. These light and modern rooms are all air-conditioned and have en suite bathrooms. This room has a queen and a single bed. Standard guest room bookings include a continental breakfast – a cooked breakfast option is available on request.

Absolutely unbelievable the service was immaculate. Couldn't fault a thing. Location was gorgeous, food was incredible. Staff there made it feel like I wasn't a guest but I was family. David the barman was amazing at his job and kate was a vibe, they were very funny and knowledgeable and helped me even take my bags. Will definately stay there again. This place was by far one of the best holidaying experiences ive had. Thankyou so much.

Such an incredible place! My room was great. Neat and tidy with a fantastic view over the river. The food was outstanding. Make sure you have a steak, it's one of the best. The local fishing was as good as it gets. Plenty of good fish while floating around among the beautiful scenery. It has to be one of the most picturesque places in Victoria. Can't wait to come back!

An idyllic location. The restaurant provides 1 choice each for a range of protein options. We had the salmon and Haloumi options. Both were great. We only spent 1 night, but it would be a great place for a relaxing holiday as well.

We had a wonderful stay at Gypsie Point Lodge — a huge thank you to Katie, Dave and the whole team for looking after us so well. We came down for the Gypsie Point Fishing Comp and, as self-confessed non-competent fisherpeople, we had an absolute blast! My son Archie caught his very first fish, which made the weekend extra special. The rooms have a lovely warmth and charm that reminded me of childhood family holidays — I expect Archie will now carry that same feeling forward, which is such a lovely thought. While I’m not much of a fisherman myself, I thoroughly enjoyed sampling the Lightfoot & Sons wines and our thick steak at the restaurant — cooked to perfection and the perfect way to finish the day. Thanks again for a truly memorable weekend — we can’t wait to return!

I enjoyed a lovely meal at Gypsy Point Lodge. The food was delicious (with good vegetarian options) and Brendan was an extremely friendly host. The venue was serene with lovely views of the river, there were kangaroos in the backyard and I could hear koalas from the balcony. Overall this was a great experience and I would highly recommend a meal or stay here.
