Lady Stonehavens Lookout is located within Frank Thomson Reserve, northwest of the Kinglake township. The reserve sits on a hill in Victoria and has an elevation of 630 metres, offering wonderful views of Melbourne’s skyline rising from the southern plains and the rolling hills of the Yarra Valley to the east.
Enjoy a family picnic or barbecue in the open grassy area of Frank Thomson Reserve with picnic tables and a gas barbecue are located close to the parking area. There is plenty of space for the kids to roam while adults can relax and enjoy the view.
Dogs are prohibited in Kinglake National Park, but are permitted on a lead (at all times) in the Frank Thomson Reserve.
If it’s good weather, this is a great lookout to see the city. Nice place to sit and relax or have a picnic.
There is also a bushfire memorial that is a peaceful spot to remember the victims of Black Saturday.

I have never been to this spot before. There is a small car park and one or two park benches. Viees are beautiful and you can see city from gere. The memorial for the Black Saturday fires is really beautiful. I was so emotional seeing the names of families that tragically lost their lives. Really nice that the memorials in the affected areas honour the victims. So glad we decided to stop by on the way home from Mason Falls. We also saw Magpies, bunnies, Rosella's and a Kookaburra. 🥰

Beautiful views, if the horizon is clear enough you can see the Melbourne skyline.
Easy to get to and plenty of parking.

Amazing little spot with huge views. Not many seats or parking spots but it is worth the trip.

A 'blink-and-you'll miss it' lookout next to a bushfire memorial. It actually gives a great view from large distance towards Melbourne. There is about space for 3 cars to park, but there is even a bbq and some shaded benches here.
Really lovely spot, almost a hidden gem.
