Ngarrgu Djerring (pronounced Nar-guw Jerr-ing) is a social enterprise cafe by Killara Foundation, a First Nations not-for-profit supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples by providing pathways to employment, mentoring, cultural connection and support in navigating the housing and labour markets.
Ngarrgu means knowledge, and Djerring means together in Woi-wurrung language. The Ngarrgu Djerring approach focuses on delivering high-quality, sustainable foods and catering that showcase thriving First Nations agricultural practices, while providing culturally safe employment and training pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young peoples.
Alongside delicious coffee and native-inspired treats, they offer breakfast and lunch options that change with the Wurundjeri seasons. There is always something new and exciting to try, so next time you're stopping by the city, choose impact by supporting First Nations Cultures, Community and sustainable employment.
