The Great Aussie Bush Camp - Campaspe Downs

Great stay here. Was one of the students who came here and had a wonderful time. If you're looking to come here, this is the spot. The staff are great and treat you nicely. Will and Chelsea were very fun to talk with and are the people who did our school night time activitys with. The rooms were good, although we did find some things that weren't ours in it, but wasnt a problem. Showers have good water pressure, and activities such as the giant swing were fun. I have to write a review to ease my conscience. I went to this camp in year 7, and it was the WORST camp I've ever been to. The water is dirty and unfiltered straight from the river I could see microorganisms floating in it I asked a staff member why the water tasted like dirt, and she told me (12 at the time) that I should stop complaining and that city water tastes like chlorine. It was extremely disrespectful. The cabins also had a suspicious odour and were not cleaned properly as I found a previous guests dirty socks on my bed. At the end of the camp everyone threw up as well from the last meal served to us. Extremely dissapointed, do not recommend and will never return. gurt

i really enjoyed the activities, especially the flying fox. they were great, the staff were nice, but the only thing i absolutely despised were the cabins and bathrooms. there was mold in the corner of the cabin right under the heater, the carpet was stained with who knows what, and it feels damp for some reason. the bathrooms were filthy, one of the shower didnt even work properly; but hey, i went in 2024 so they might've upgraded.

The camping location we visited was quite ordinary, offering a lot of space for outdoor activities, but it had its downsides. The arrangements and facilities were not very good. There wasn’t a proper parking area, making it difficult for visitors to find a place to leave their cars safely. Most of the buildings and equipment were quite old.
