Climb the west face of Mt Buller's summit, enjoying stunning views and an adrenaline rush as you traverse the cliffs.
Australia's first via ferrata, RockWire, is a guided climb along a secure route over a series of fixed anchors, steel cables, ladders, bridges and other features such as steps and handholds.
You're safely hooked onto fixed cables and led by an experienced guide using a harness and special lanyards. People with various levels of climbing experience can enjoy the thrill of high-altitude exploration while minimising the risks associated with traditional climbing.
Route 2, their more challenging course, is back for its second year. Even more adventure beyond the edge.

We had an amazing experience with Rockwire, from their responsiveness to our queries, including rescheduling us for the next day after the trip was cancelled due to extreme fire warning (we had travelled from interstate), to the experience itself. We did route 2 which was exciting and challenging. Our Guides, James, Ashan & Jade were super friendly and knowledgeable, and we felt safe and well looked after throughout the trip. Definitely recommend it!!

We had a fantastic time with Rockwire at Mt Buller. From start to finish, the experience was incredible. Jade was a wonderful guide — patient, attentive, and so supportive throughout the entire climb. She even took photos for us, which we really appreciated because it meant we could stay fully focused on the experience. James has done an amazing job setting up the business. He was welcoming, genuinely friendly, and it’s clear he’s gone to great lengths to make sure everything is safe and thoughtfully designed. Even though the activity definitely came with a bit of an adrenaline rush, I felt safe and confident the whole time. The views were absolutely stunning, and the handholds and footholds were perfectly placed, making the climb enjoyable and accessible without ever feeling risky. Overall, a brilliant experience — highly recommend Rockwire to anyone visiting Mt Buller!

Did the via ferrata two days ago, and it was genuinely one of the most brilliant and immersive experiences of my year. I had such a good time, and our guide, Cassie was so sweet and friendly, going above and beyond to ensure that we were having a good time. I really can't recommend rockwire enough - such a safe, accessible and exciting way to see mt buller in green season - massive kudos to James for all his work on the project.

What an incredible experience. We came here, not knowing what to fully expect and were blown away. Route one was an excellent introduction to Via Ferrata, route two was fantastic. The thing we lived the most was hanging out on the rock face with such beautiful landscape around us. For anyone who loves hiking, this is a great way to build your confidence for rock scrambles, in a safe and professional environment.

Highly recommended! We had an awesome day with RockWire, climbing route 1. The course is in excellent condition and our guides were very helpful while still giving us the freedom to climb at our own pace. The views up there are magical! The course was physically challenging for us (first time climbers & infrequent hikers) but it was so much fun and we always felt safe. This experience is excellent value for money.
