The renowned Steavenson Falls in Marysville, about two hours north-east of Melbourne, is one of Victoria's tallest waterfalls. Enjoy a beautiful short walk with friends and family and be rewarded by the sight of these impressive 84 metres cascading falls.
Enjoy a leisurely 350-metre stroll along a well-maintained, all-abilities path to the base viewing platform. Along the way, you will pass a historic hydroelectric turbine and cross a scenic bridge that offers a unique vantage point from the far side of the river.
For those seeking a little more adventure, follow the stone steps up to the Steavenson Falls walking track as it winds up the side of the hill to the top viewing platform. From here you can look down onto the falls and take in an impressive view of the Steavenson River Valley, covered in ferns and trees
For a truly magical experience, visit after dusk when the gravelled path and falls are beautifully floodlit until midnight.
Note there is a small fee for parking at this site.
My partner and I luv these falls...
We have visited numerous times during the day...and now have visited the falls at night.
What a truly beautiful place...reasonable well lit up...the falls are lit up well enough to take in the beautiful views.
Recommend to all to make the flat pathed walk to the falls...with some wide concrete stable steps and grated bridge over the stream of the falls

Excellent sightseeing experience with a lovely hike to the top of the waterfall. Fairly impressive waterfall with 4 spots to see the waterfall from different angles. Parking is close to the waterfall and should be an easy trip for everyone to make. Nice experience and highly recommended.

The walk from the car park to the first viewing platform takes only a few minutes, and the path is wellâmaintained and easy for families. Once you reach the bridge, the view opens up beautifullyâflowing water, rocky pools, and the sound of the falls echoing through the valley.
If youâre up for a bit more adventure, the 20â25 minute trail to the top is worth the climb. Itâs a marked dirt path with some rocky and steep sections, so good shoes help, especially after rain. The lookout at the top gives you a completely different perspective of the falls and the surrounding forest.
What really stands out is how accessible the whole experience is. Itâs peaceful, scenic, and never feels rushed. Even when water levels are lower, the flow is still impressive and the setting is gorgeous.
A simple, beautiful stopâperfect for a short walk, photos, or just soaking in nature.
Note- Car Park can be busy during weekend and Public holidays so need wait for 15-20 mins before you get your spot for parking

Always an amazing experience. I have been to the falls 4-5 times and it never fails to bring a smile on my face. If you can do a bit of hike you should go to the top of the fall as the experience there is really amazing and the views to love for. However if you are kids or donât have much time then just a short walk to the viewing platform and you would love the fall.
