Situated in the Arts Centre Melbourne, this is a fabulous small collection of all things Australian Music. It ranges across all decades from pop to rock. Being a Kylie fan I loved all her outfits on display. Free to enter so if in the area I highly recommend popping in.

Really enjoyed this place, especially if you’re into music. It’s not huge but there’s a lot to see, from iconic artists to moments in Australian music history, and the exhibits are quite engaging. The space feels modern and a bit immersive with the lighting and displays, not your typical quiet museum vibe. Easy to walk through but still interesting enough to spend time exploring, and it’s FREE entry which makes it even better!

This place is hidden but worth going in to see the displays. It’s free of charge and has a selection of memorabilia and history surrounding Australia main stream music. It is in the Arts Centre in Melbourne and staff can happily show you where it is as it is hidden inside!
Some of the collections go out on loan - so unfortunately when we visited some of Kylie Minogue’s clothes were elsewhere!

Great overall free small gallery with artificial pieces dedicated to Australian icons. Best part was the amplifier room It’s a sound-proof, square-shaped room where short movies are projected onto the surrounding walls. So you can sit in the middle and feel like you’re actually in the middle of the story you’re watching.
