The Provincial Hotel and Restaurant Lola

Loved our most recent lunch at Lola. I had the moussaka and it was heartening, rich and decadent. My friends ordered the gnocchi and fish, both also really stunning. Also had the tart which had a cute little edible tree protruding out of the top of it! You can tell the chefs put a lot of thought and care into creating the dishes here.

I have selected to lunch at this French restaurant at Provincial Hotel located right next to the Ballarat Station. Impeccable service from Carlos and personal email responses from Owner-Chef Heshan to my queries on the Summer Menu and Valentine Menu. # Twice-baked aged Gruyère Soufflé - Indulgent cheesy dream with a light, airy texture #  Petit Lobster & Prawn Roll - Luxuriously yummy. # Pan-Fried Barramundi - Delightful. Love the slices of sweetened orange that gave the dish a balance of flavor. # Lamb Moussaka - Rich, savory, and aromatic. Very tender lamb packed with flavors. # Duck-fat roasted potato - Not well cooked. # Soufflé Framboise - Fluffy, sweetness enhanced and balanced by raspberry and yogurt sorbet

Return visit to Lola’s and we were just as impressed with everything as we have been previously. The Confit Duck and Pan-Fried Barramundi were perfectly cooked and delicious. The Tiramisu and Exotic Pavlova desserts were amazing works of art! Everything was beautifully and thoughtfully presented - cannot fault anything. The professional staff are always well presented, friendly and efficient. Their attention to you and your needs makes the whole dining experience a delight. Lola’s is our first choice in Ballarat for an indulgent meal or a special celebration!

Pleasantly surprised for our dinner out at Lola’s Restaurant this week. Beautiful decor & soft jazz music, outstanding service and the food was incredible! Had the best tasting steak ever. No doubt one of the best fine dining experiences in Ballarat. Highly recommended.
