Tours offer a personalised and unique insight into the people, places and gastronomic treasures of this premier cool climate wine region that was first established in 1838. The Mornington Peninsula has long been a favourite destination; offering green hinterlands, wild ocean beaches and an abundance of vineyards. With more than 200 vineyards, the Mornington Peninsula is one of the most highly concentrated wine regions in Australia. Being cool-climate, the Peninsula is recognised for their outstanding chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot gris. Whether it is a meeting with a winemaker, cheese maker or a chocolatier you will gain an enhanced appreciation of the variety available on the Peninsula and enjoy a host of fantastic taste sensations.

Yarra Valley Wine Tour

Enjoy fine food and wine on this leisurely paced tour by Vinetrekker of the Yarra Valley. Only one hour from Melbourne, the beautiful, lush Yarra Valley is recognised internationally as a premium, cool-climate region known for its elegant wines. Travel through the undulating and bush laden north-eastern suburbs to the De Bortoli Vineyard at Dixons Creek. Enjoy a wine and cheese flight that includes the famous Noble One, Australia's most awarded wine. A short drive away is the historic Yering Station Vineyard where tastings in the 1859 original winery precede an a la carte main course lunch in their stunning, light filled restaurant. Post-lunch, it's a change of place with visits to the Coldstream Hills Vineyard which was established by James Halliday in 1985. The final stop for the day is at the family owned Medhurst Vineyard. On days when Coldstream Hills and Medhurst are closed, visits would be made to Dominique Portet, Punt Road or Oakridge Vineyards.

I cannot begin to describe what a fabulous day we had wine tasting in the Yarra Valley with Vinetrekker! It was a perfect day! Paul, our guide, picked us up at the hotel and his car was cool and comfortable. He gave us interesting commentary about the city of Melbourne as we headed to the Yarra area. He made a point to introduce everyone and to get all guests involved and mingling which was super fun! The wine tasting itself was amazing! We went to 4 wineries and had an amazing lunch overlooking a picturesque view. We had private rooms and it really felt like VIP treatment. The wines were plentiful and a bonus was the delicious cheeses we got to try! We tried maybe 25 wines all day and it was so much fun. He even sidetracked us to see some kangaroos. It was a perfect way to spend our last day in Melbourne!!!
