It all begins with the location and just gets better and better. A friendly welcome and no fuss on check in (even though we were a bit early) started the experience. The sites are spacious and very well maintained with plenty of shade. The facilities a clean and well maintained and there is on site bike hire. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and highly recommend.
Great central location. Very organised, clean and professional. Some great facilities for cyclists too. The cabin was just as expected, very comfortable and clean. Free to air channels on the TV would have been handy.
Had such a great stay at Valley View for New Years Eve! The band they had was fantastic, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We've booked in again for New Years Eve in 2026, because we loved it so much. Great cafe walking distance down the road, and Pizzini Wines was fantastic. Great swimming at Lake William Hovell. We stayed on Site 6, which was a really good location. It would be nice if they had the sprinkler running in between each guest stay so that the grass was growing on this site.
What a beautiful location for those wanting to enjoy a relaxed, quiet and clean caravan park with down-to-earth people. We stayed in the family cabin which was spotless, well equipped and roomy. The camp kitchen is spacious and perfectly clean as are the laundry and shared bathroom facilities. The proximity of the wineries makes Valley View even more alluring. We spent New Year's here and they provided a slow-cooked BBQ dinner and live band to help celebrate - a great atmosphere. The only downside was the WiFi again. We had trouble connecting the last time we visited in 2024 so brought along a mobile (pocket) WiFi device just in case for Xmas 2025. Good thing, as we needed it for the smart TV which wouldn't connect despite being provided the caravan park WiFi password. The 'regular' free-to-air channels didn't work either with the picture constantly pixelating / freezing (assume antenna issues here). We prefer using the TV to listen to music on YouTube or watching Netflix (which we ended up doing on our laptop). Despite this minor hiccup, I would definitely come back again. John and Sue are gracious hosts who make Valley View such an amazing place.
We had a lovely view from our unpowered site, and the amenities were clean and well maintained. The only reason for the 3-star rating is the construction taking place during our stay. Although quiet hours are listed as 10pm–8am, loud drilling started just before 6am and continued into the day. Given the $45 per night cost, I would have expected to be informed prior to arrival that construction would be happening/ a discounted rate as otherwise I wouldn’t have stayed if I knew this. If you’re planning to stay in the near future, I’d definitely check with the management beforehand👍
