About

This untouched bayside coastline is a hub for recreational boating, fishing and popular spot for picnics, with stunning views across Port Phillip Bay.

The beach at Werribee South remains in its natural state, the water is shallow enough to wade about and dogs are welcome for a swim too.

There is no better place for fishing. Launch your boat at Werribee South Boat Ramp, fish from the jetty or throw in a line from the sand. At the boat ramp you’ll find Pelicans gathering to inspect the fisherman’s catch.

Werribee South Foreshore has a dedicated place to launch your jets skis and is also popular with experienced kayakers accessing the Werribee River.

Enjoy the children’s playground and barbeque areas and take a beachside stroll or cycle all the way to Wyndham Harbour along the Wyndham Bay Trail (5km return).

Opposite Werribee South Foreshore is the Werribee South Caravan Park, a skate park and the popular Anglers Anchorage, where you can pick up a coffee or some fish and chips.

The beach was decent. A lot of shells to collect if that's your thing. Didn't have too strong of a fishy type smell that some do. A good sized carpark and boat park plus launch ramps. It's more geared up for that purpose to be honest as the Werribee river finishes here. Reasonable playground but lacking any meaningful shade apart from a few trees
