Newcastle Food Tour: Wickham & Carrington
Come wander the harbourside streets of Wickham and Carrington with me, two of the five villages that make up Newcastle's Throsby precinct, and see them through their food. This award-winning, four-hour walking tour covers about 2.5km at a relaxed pace, and it's all about the people behind every bite. You'll meet the makers, hear their stories, and discover places you've probably walked past a hundred times. We start beside Newcastle's working harbour with two stops serving fresh local seafood, including a seafood plate paired with Indigenous flavours. Next, we step inside a hidden converted warehouse for locally roasted coffee and house-made gelato. Save room for dessert at a must-visit Japanese cheesecake and pancake café, then finish with a local winemaker or at Earp Distilling Co, Newcastle's family-owned craft distillery with roots dating back to 1883. Across five food stops, you'll enjoy generous serves of the dishes each venue is proud of, plus two drinks (alcoholic or non-alcoholic). All dietary requirements can be catered for. You come for the food. You leave seeing Newcastle a little differently.
Newcastle Christmas Party Food Tour
The Christmas Party Food Tour is an award-winning walking food experience for workplaces, friends and families looking to celebrate the festive season a little differently, led by a passionate local guide. The tour includes: six tastings at hand-picked local venues, including a tasting of local beer or wine; meeting the owners, chefs and makers behind each venue; and stories of Newcastle's neighbourhoods, heritage and harbour. Skip the usual long lunch and do a walking food tour instead. Food has a way of bringing people together. Get outside, explore the streets of Newcastle, discover a few new spots and enjoy incredible food along the way, from the working harbour of Wickham and Carrington to the heritage pubs of Maryville, Tighes Hill and Islington. Every Christmas party is tailored to your group, from small teams to larger groups of up to 30 guests. Tour times, duration, route and inclusions can all be shaped around your celebration, and all dietary requirements can be catered for. It's easy, social and full of laughter. You come for the food, and leave having celebrated the year in a way your group will actually remember.

Explore Throsby: Maryville, Tighes Hill and Islington is an award-winning small-group walking food tour through three of Newcastle's most characterful inner-city neighbourhoods, led by a passionate local guide. The tour includes: five local food and drink stops with generous serves; two alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks; meeting the owners, chefs and makers behind each venue; local history and stories; and a four-hour guided walk of around 2.5 kilometres at a relaxed pace. Start with coffee and pastries at a community bakery tucked away in Maryville, known for its sustainable practices and delicious baked goods. Visit a heritage pub serving modern food from a renowned local chef, then drop into a local hidden gem with a cult-like following for its loaded cookies, cakes, slices and pastries. Then settle into what may be one of the last still-standing old-school Newcastle pubs, with all the charm of a country pub, just a tad more scrubbed up. Finish at a corner pub that has stood since 1890. It's still a noisy pub, just with a bit of French flair to the food. Groups are small, from two to twelve guests, and all dietary requirements can be catered for.
