About

Walk into Wollongong's hidden history.

She Shapes History believes the past isn't confined to textbooks – it lives in the streets beneath their feet.

For too long, women's contributions have been sidelined or forgotten. They would like to change that. Their tours bring history to life through the lens of the fearless, formidable, and often overlooked women who challenged the status quo and reshaped the nation.

So where are the women in Wollongong's history?

Join the Wicked Women of Wollongong walking tour to uncover stories of convicts, writers, nuns, artists and heiresses who built, led and reshaped the city. Along the way, you'll wander from ocean baths to laneways, discovering how women's grit and imagination made Wollongong what it is today.

Join She Shapes History as they rewrite the narrative and share with you the women behind the city.
