Family of 5, 4 nights $5599. Includes buffet breakfast which alternates, one morning: scrambled eggs, bacon, baked beans, hash browns, mini warmed croissants, toast, cereal, tea/coffee/juice. The next morning is boiled eggs, whole mushrooms, canned spaghetti, hash browns, small warmed pastries. Breakfast is 7-9am, after 8 they don’t replenish as much, you get kinda what’s left. I asked and got more yoghurt put out but no pastries and no more baked beans (our kids didn’t eat much on offer). Rooms are basic, microwave, mini fridge, kettle. More toilet paper if you ask, ours wasn’t restocked otherwise. Beds are OK. Oil heaters are available in the rooms. Dinner is strictly 6-8pm, menu is around $22/$25 to low $30s. On Tuesdays they do taco night, $15 per kid and $30 per adult. There’s a bar menu from lunch till early arvo. Drying room available, no rules are followed. Snowboards in ski racks rather than their own racks so can be hard to find a spot with skis. The drying room is warm, our gear dried well. average hotel with average breakfast and no snow 😂
Outstanding customer service, very helpful staff. Emma and Joey, absolute vibing legends and brilliant at what they do. Thanks for everything during our stay. Top location too!! Beautiful outlook from room #44. We will be back!
We stayed at the river inn 3 times over our 3 week holiday. We were greeted by Joey and Emma and the river inn team, who are absolutely loving, kind and caring people who go above and beyond for guests who stay. Looking forward to returning again soon and would recommend to anyone to stay at the river inn.
Nice budget friendly hote l. Good staff. Loved the reading (entertainment room). Guy at the bar counter was very good.
Read this review if you want a genuinely honest and accurate review. Initially I read the reviews for this place and was quite scared to come stay here. But turns out it was actually fine and a decent stay. I won’t lie, the bed bunks really weren’t the best and the sheets/blankets aren’t the best quality. But it’s expected when it’s a short stay inn like this one, and thankfully no bed bugs or anything that I know of. However, the other beds in the room (just a normal single bed) was super comfortable but unfortunately just not my bed. Bathroom was perfectly fine yet storage could be a little bit better but that might of just been my room. The ski in ski out it’s quite accurate yet you do have walk through the après area but it’s definitely not a big deal. Location wise this place is great, SUPER close to the gunbarrel chair/friday flats- great to kick off the day super fast and efficient for boarding or skiing (and good if you have kids). Very close to bus stop to take you very easily into centre of the town and the walking distance is perfectly fine if you’r trying to get to the local pub. Also close to the leisure centre so that was pretty cool. Food is pretty much what you’d expect it’s more like a school cafeteria type style buffet not really a restaurant if that’s what you’re expecting. The food was comforting and well proportioned and hearty after a long day in the snow. Just wouldn’t be my first choice for dinner as it’s not really typically my style. The food didn’t really bother me all that much as our dinners/lunches were free as they came with the Ozsnow plan we booked (recommend this for saving money was pretty good not really any bad notes). The Après was fine, didn’t really hang out there I’m sure it was good vibes though. Although it’s VERYY loud. Nothing to say about drinks as I don’t drinks. All in all this is my very honest and genuine review of this place. I probably wouldn’t stay here during off season though. Just don’t read into the bad reviews too much it’s genuinely a very decent place to stay whilst on a ski trip if you’re looking for a comfortable place to stay whilst wanting to save money. Although my experience was pleasant and agreeable, I’m not saying this place is perfect and you may still have a bad experience or a great one but this is just my experience.
