We love visiting the sanctuary each time we are in TNQ. Best time to go is as soon as they open, to get in early before the skyrail/scenic train crowds arrive. My daughter wore her butterfly hat and flower clips and had lots of butterflies landing on her. Great value for money when in Kuranda.
It's a cool and interesting place to visit when you're in Kuranda. I feel like they could get away with $50 tickets, but I was very refreshed when I saw it was only $25 a person. Thank you for that.
Super fun! Small exhibit but totally worth it if you love butterflies! Some times they love landing on you, so be prepared to get quite close! The butterfly release was super cute, it goes quite quick for the price, but it was still a very cute experience. Lots of amazing photo opportunities and a beautiful butterfly museum exhibit
Thoroughly enjoyed our time at the butterfly sanctuary. The guided tour was fantastic and the guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was lovely getting so close to the butterflies. I highly recommend visiting the butterfly sanctuary.
Decent overall experience and good customer service. Despite the butterflies being a little more on the dormant side due to weather, many unique species to see. Great horticultural value and well maintained gardens. Similarly to other sites, needs to be updated to meet current DDA standards for wheelchair and pram access.
