Beenleigh Historical Village and Museum (BHV&M) takes you on a journey of years gone by. This collection of heritage organised as a village is dedicated to preserving the cultural legacy of the old Beenleigh region for current and future generations.
A popular tourist destination for school students, families and seniors tours, the Beenleigh Historical Village features early Australia memorabilia, collections of items and even entire buildings which have been lovingly preserved and restored. They're also a favourite location for car and bike clubs, and special functions such as weddings.
There are 20 heritage buildings filled with original items used by those who lived in the 1860s and onward. Their extensive collection has been either donated to the Village or were the original products/items belonging in the homes they have on site.
You can see the old St. George Anglican Church, The Beenleigh Council Chambers, Willkie's General Store, the old Dodge fire engines, family homes, the Loganholme One Teacher School, the Post Office and much more.

Loads to see and lots of information, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. As well as all the buildings in the village showcasing historical Queensland homes and other buildings there was a lovely cafe, reasonably priced, and an art gallery which I enjoyed walking through. $12 entry for an adult (without concession) seems really reasonable for all the work that's gone into this place.
Visited the Beenleigh Historical Village & Museum and really enjoyed the experience. It’s a fascinating place that gives a glimpse into the history and heritage of the Beenleigh area through preserved buildings, vintage displays, and historical artefacts. The village is well maintained and has a peaceful atmosphere, making it enjoyable to walk around and explore at your own pace. There’s plenty to see, from old machinery and transport displays to traditional homes and local history exhibits. The volunteers and staff were friendly and passionate about sharing information. Overall, a great place to learn about local history and spend a relaxing afternoon.
Will definitely be returning. They have a bird bomb diving you so bring bread/meat to throw at it. If we make friends with it, then it might not be so scared. Great places to have a picnic though they do have a basic cafe
Cute, interesting museum the whole family enjoyed. Was great to be able to step into the buildings and get a feel for life back then. Lot's of information and a great printing press presentation. We ate in the cafe which was reasonably priced and had a nice outdoor seating area. All the workers and volunteers were friendly and helpful.
A good place to see and relax but i went solo, no tour guide and some buildings were dirty and smelly like the rural school and theatre and some cottages. I understand they are old but quite unpleasant.
