Buderim Forest Park is a 45 hectare haven of tranquillity less than a kilometre from the north side of Buderim village on the Sunshine Coast –just 15 minutes from the coast. With its towering trees, meandering tracks and stunning waterfall, this sub-tropical oasis is a paradise for nature lovers and photographers alike. Buderim Falls, also known as Serenity Falls, it’s a wonderful place to visit at any time of year, and looks particularly spectacular after rainfall when the waters cascade down the rock face into the waterhole below.
The 600 metre walkway from Lindsay Road will take you on a picturesque forest ramble along the banks of Martins Creek’s cascading waters.
This is the easiest part of the walk and is wheelchair friendly. From the end of the boardwalk you can continue upwards through the bush via a rugged trail to the waterfall.
For direct access to the waterfall and the high arch bridge spanning the creek, start at Quorn Close – it’s an easy to moderate hike to the falls via a bush track. The Quorn close entry to the reserve is not suitable for wheelchairs or strollers.
Absolutely stunning spot. The waterfall and rainforest canopy create beautiful soft light filtering through the trees, making it a dream location for photography and video work. The boardwalk and creek sections offer loads of variety for shoots, and the whole place feels peaceful even on busier mornings. Easy parking, well maintained trails, and the walk down to the falls is short enough to carry gear comfortably. Highly recommend for anyone chasing that lush, cinematic rainforest look on the Sunshine Coast.
A beautiful place for a relaxing walk. The lush forest, flowing creek, and well-maintained, mostly flat track make it perfect for an easy stroll. We didn't have enough time to walk all the way to the waterfall, but it's definitely a place I'd love to come back and explore properly. Highly recommended!

Buddina Waterfall (often referred to locally as the "hidden" waterfall near Point Cartwright) is one of those rare spots that feels like a genuine secret, even though it’s tucked right behind a residential. If you are looking for a quick nature escape without the drive into the hinterland, here is a breakdown of what to expect: The Experience Atmosphere: It’s incredibly peaceful. The sound of the water cascading over the rocks completely masks the suburban noise nearby. It feels like a little pocket of rainforest dropped into the coast. Accessibility: The walk is short but can be a bit slippery and "off-the-beaten-path." It isn’t a paved tourist track, which adds to the charm but requires decent shoes—leave the thongs in the car if it’s been raining. Best Time to Visit: This is a wet-weather wonder. During a dry spell, it can dwindle to a trickle. To see it in its full glory, try to head there a day or two after a good Sunshine Coast downpour. Quick Tips Photography: The way the light filters through the canopy makes for some moody, lush shots. Great for a quick nature photography session. Footwear: As mentioned, the rocks around the base are mossy and slick. Watch your step! Local Secret: Because it’s nestled near the base of the hill toward Point Cartwright, it’s a perfect "add-on" to a morning walk around the lighthouse or a coffee at La Balsa Park. Final Verdict It’s not the biggest waterfall in Queensland, but for a 10-minute detour from the beach, it’s a 5-star local gem. It is the perfect spot for a moment of Zen before heading back to the hustle of Kawana or Mooloolabaaaa.
Buderim Forest Park, right in the heart of the Sunshine Coast, is a truly beautiful and peaceful place. If you enjoy nature and quiet walks, this is a lovely spot to visit. You do need to walk a little inside the forest, but the walk itself is very pleasant and refreshing. As you go further in, you can see small waterfalls, which are absolutely charming. You can sit nearby, dip your feet in the cool water, relax, and simply enjoy the surroundings. The sound of flowing water and birds makes the whole experience very calming. We spent a relaxing time there, away from the rush, and it felt like a perfect nature break. The forest is well maintained and feels like a hidden gem, especially considering it’s so close to town. It’s a great place to slow down, connect with nature, and enjoy some peaceful moments. Highly recommended if you are visiting the Sunshine Coast and want something relaxing, scenic, and refreshing
