The Bundaberg Rum Distillery is the home of Australia's most famous rum, which has been made to a time-honoured tradition for over 135 years. The Brand Home currently offers two tours; the Bundaberg Rum Distillery Experience and the premium Blend Your Own Rum Experience.
Explore the history of Bundaberg Rum by wandering through the self-paced Museum, which is housed in six 75,000 litre oak vats. After immersing yourself in a unique sensory experience and learning the stories of Bundaberg Rum, you will join one of the expert Distillery guides on a journey deep into the heart of the fully operational Bundaberg Rum Distillery. Finish off your tour with two tastings of our rums and liqueurs.
For those that want to try their hand at becoming a Master Blender, the premium Blend Your Own Rum Experience allows guests to learn the art of blending their very own rum straight from the barrel.
The large Retail Store has a huge selection of rum and merchandise where visitors can purchase exclusive and limited-edition products. There is also the Bear Garden, a covered Alfresco Bar & Dining area with all your favorite rums, Forever Classic cocktails and our signature hotdog, the "Bundy Banger".

We visited the Bundaberg Rum Distillery on 29/12, and it was one of the nicest places I’ve ever been. The place itself is unreal…very well designed, and the architecture makes you want to wander around and take it all in. We got heaps of awesome photos.
We also did the tour inside the manufacturing area, and if you love rum or enjoy learning and seeing how things are done behind the scenes, this is a must do activity.
The guides conducted the tour in a very interactive and engaging way, hey were awesome and very dedicated to the group.
However, from an English as a 2nd language speaker’s point of view, I believe they could consider speaking more clearly. Even though I consider myself okay with the English and have lived in Australia for four years, I struggled to understand them most of the time. Alternatively, the website could suggest a specific tour time with guides more focused on non-native speakers. I believe this would make the experience even more enjoyable for us.
The only thing I didn’t like was that there were some children in out group, around six or seven, and throughout the tour the guides had to stop their explanations because the kids were screaming, running into restricted areas, and even climbing on manufacturing structures. It was clear that many people, including the guides, were uncomfortable with the situation. As feedback, I believe it would be a great idea for the distillery to have a kids’ space where children could stay while their parents enjoy the tour.
At the end of the tour, you can go the their bar, get 2 free drinks, and buy more if you want, which is amazing because we could taste different types before deciding what to buy.

Do not skip it! Great visitor center and a tour. I recommend taking a tour and see all
about production. If you buy tickets online you get -5% off.
You can taste some rum at the end. We enjoyed a lot. Stayed for 2.5 hours.

The Bundaberg Rum Distillery was a must see stop during our east coast drive! We throroughly enjoyed the Distillery tour and the included 2 shots of rum in the end. I highly recommend the Solera and the Chocolate liqueur.
Not a lot of food options. Plenty of parking space and definitely accessible.
I highly recommend visiting by!

The tour was great, even though it's not a massive factory. We got to go right inside the production area, and the guide’s explanations were fascinating. Getting two free tastings was a lovely touch! It's a safe environment, so it's perfect for bringing kids along.

Throughly enjoyed our tour of the Bundaberg distillery and our walk through of the museum. The tour guides (Shaz and Tayler) were great, had plenty of jokes but were also really knowledgeable about the history of Bundy Rum. The museum was really informative and had some great interactive points too! A must do when visiting Bundaberg!
