Nambucca Heads Island Golf Club

Had the worst Scotch fillet for lunch here today. It was burnt on the outside. The meat was so tough it was like eating string. I do not recommend this dish.

Very nice course, really scenic with water all around the course, greens are very good, fairways are fine, good variety of holes, nice pro shop and Grant is friendly and helpful. Excellent club house overlooking the river and a great place to relax after you finish your golf

We recently visited for our annual golf day with our mothers, who have been coming to this course for over 40 years. We called three days prior to book golf buggies but were told they were fully booked. When we asked if we could be contacted in the event of a cancellation, Jo denied this and told us there would be no cancellations. On the day, we arrived at 1pm and asked again for golf buggies, at which point we were told they were for members only. However, on the day we came across multiple people using a buggy who told us they were not members and had called at 1:45pm- onwards, to reserve it. Because we were unable to get a buggy, our elderly mothers struggled in the heat and we were forced to stop after only three holes, which was incredibly disappointing given this long-standing annual tradition. The false information provided and Jo’s rudeness have left us feeling very let down. As a result, we will not be continuing our annual golfing tradition at this course, despite our mothers’ decades-long history here.

Golf course is beautiful. However don’t go out in a larger group for a social fun event!! Got split up being a group of 6, wasn’t holding anyone up or causing any issues. Even got told by other players it’s good to see travelers out having a good time because that’s what golf is all about. Don’t take juniors as they also get into trouble for teeing off at the junior tee off. Well thanks for putting a damper on our day. Would not recommend under the current management.. there is a difference between comp and social!! And may I highlight we went out after everyone in the comp had gone out.
