We were slightly reluctant to stay here after reading reviews, but I'm glad we did! When we first checked in for our stay which was a month, Susan was absolutely lovely from the start of our stay through to the end of our stay. She was very welcoming, accommodating and helpful. We stayed in a double cabin. Yes the cabins are old, but they were clean. My profession is a cleaner and I thoroughly checked the cabin for cleanliness. I couldn't fault it. Everything was clean from the pots, pans, cutlery, fridge and cupboards. Oven could of used a clean but I didn't expect perfection for the budget price. The park offers weekly sheet and towel changes if your staying for more than a week; which I was impressed with. Along with sweeping and mopping of the floors. We were out most of the time when this occured and nothing "went missing" like some reviews implied. I purposely left a gold bracelet on the table as a test; but was still there when we returned. On our final week there we were present when the two cleaners arrived and they were friendly and helpful asking if we needed anything. We asked for an extra towel and tea towel, and without hesitation they accommodated this request without hesitation. The pool is picturesque. The grounds were well maintained (except for the bbq- which susan said was getting refurbished). We met a few of the long term Tennant's and they were lovely and welcoming. We didn't need to use the amenities as our cabin was equipped with a toilet and shower. The cabin didn't have a washing machine but we used the communal laundry that has a dryer and clothesline just outside to dry clothes. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return. The only negative feedback we could give is that they didnt supply tea, coffee, shampoo etc. Fortunately shops are just down the road. But as stated, we didn't expect "The Hilton" on such a budget. Thank you Sue. Hope to see you again.
The staff are the rudest people I have ever met. They falsely advertise one price and when you get there they tell you another. The cleaners helped themselves to my things. And when I called the manager I was insulted then ignored,The cabins are dirty, old and unfit. The rude old lady in the office will ignore you when you walk in and carry on her phone conversation, that’s if she isn’t out the back somewhere having a fag. I found hear rancid breath as unpleasant as her attitude. These people have clearly forgotten what customer service is.The steel cage around the office takes the cake. Iv seen some bad places but never a steel cage around a reception. By the end of my stay I understood why. A terrible experience I haven’t had anything close to this bad.
This little caravan park is so quiet and spotlessly clean with lots of lovely birds. It is an oldie but a goody. The new pool area is lovely and they lady in the office is polite and helpful and has a great sense of humour.
The park is clean, tidy and peaceful. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful. The roads in the park are dangerous to pedestrians. The pool is lovely. The tenants are also friendly and chatty.
Not an enjoyable experience, manager did not seem to know how to use the computer system, there was no wifi, no camp kitchen or communal areas, it did not feel very child friendly. This caravan park is essentially a run down retirement village on wheels.
