Located alongside the world-famous Mount Panorama/Wahluu racing circuit, the National Motor Racing Museum celebrates the rich history, personalities, and achievements of Australian motorsport.
While Mount Panorama and the iconic Bathurst 1000 are central to its displays, the museum showcases the full spectrum of racing across the country.
Motorcycle racing is a particular highlight, alongside exhibits dedicated to speedway, solar racing, drag racing, rallying, open-wheelers, sports cars, and touring cars. Enthusiasts can also enjoy an ever-changing collection of more than 100 racing cars and motorbikes.

Great place! Everything was clean and tidy, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There were heaps of old racecars, bikes, and spaceships to look at. My 3yo loved the immersive room, the model cars, and the small park across the street. Definitely worth a visit for motor enthusiasts

What a fabulous collection of Australian motor racing memorabilia! There’s a great statue of Peter Brock out there front, which welcomes all visitors to the museum and the Mountain Panorama racing circuit. As long time devotees of motor racing, especially of the Bathurst events , we thoroughly enjoyed seeing so many different cars and souvenirs from races of the past. The visit is well worth the entry fee.

A few years ago on our visit to Bathurst we visited the National Motor Racing Museum. It was a really nice experience to see such a great museum with some very iconic and famous cars that raced in Bathurst. The collection is well documented and well presented. It is situated right next to the Mount Panorama motor racing circuit, and since the track is a normal road outside major race events, it is open to the public and you can drive it in either direction. If you love motorsport this is a must visit.

If you’re into cars and racing, this place is a must visit. It is packed with racing history and has an awesome mix of vintage, muscle, JDM cars, and cool bikes. I really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it to any motorsport fan.
