Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC) is the Gold Coast’s premier event venue. We attended a 9:30 show to see Jimmy Carr. We stayed at the Meriton a few hundred metres away, also electing to go to the casino for dinner. This meant that a lot of sun was compressed into a small space! Despite an earlier show leaving as we arrived, the centre handled the large amounts of people easily. The signage inside making finding our entry door easy. We were early, so had a few of the fairy priced beverages on offer. We were seated in the floor and the chairs weren’t bad - I didn’t get antsy during the performance. This was a pleasant experience.

Nurses conference went well, great staff, they were very helpful. The AV people especially a young lady by the name of Lily was very supportive to myself guiding and fixing up my music before i presented. Great place to hold an event, highly recommended.

As a former stage hand/ light and sound tech (in high school 20+ years ago) and a current photographer. This place had a great set up for my sons graduation. The lighting and stage made me wish I could get some back stage photos some time. In the mean time it was good seeing another photographer work as I am only just in my first year setting up as a professional. The unique lighting was great to test.

Huge Convention Centre, definitely comfortable walking shoes, especially if you attend a conference there, where everything is spread out. Plenty of bathrooms everywhere. Accessibility available. Hotels and restaurants are close by. Cafe's available too. Our event had several coffee stands hired for our conference and Woolworths was a 5-10mins walk across the road.

Great concert venue. Every seat on a rise was well tiered giving uninterrupted view. Public transport right to the door. Plenty of well informed staff to assist.
