We had an amazing stay at the JW Marriott Gold Coast and spent six wonderful days here as a family. After traveling from our home in Oahu to Bali, we thought there was no better way to end our trip than with a little luxury on the Gold Coast — and this hotel was the perfect choice. The resort is incredibly family-friendly while still maintaining that luxury feel. There were so many activities for the kids, including a cooking class and garden tour, although their absolute favorite was definitely the pool! Between the waterslide, beautiful lagoon, two jacuzzis, and whirlpool, they could have stayed out there all day. We started our stay in one of the larger rooms, and there was plenty of space for our family of five. Our three boys are all six and under, but traveling with three little ones still requires a lot of room, and we were very comfortable. We did experience a few discrepancies during our stay that were more related to Marriott than the hotel itself, but what truly stood out was how the staff handled everything. They went above and beyond to make sure we felt heard, cared for, and taken care of. Their hospitality really made a difference and left us ending our stay on such a positive note. We made some wonderful family memories here and would absolutely return to the JW Marriott Gold Coast in the future. A beautiful resort, wonderful staff, and such a great place for families looking for both luxury and kid-friendly fun. Highly recommend!
I recently stayed here with my family for a week and from start to finish this hotel was exceptional! The staff were very kind and helpful and we were even given free drinks upon arrival into the gorgeous lobby. Our room was very clean with a nice view. Pools were fantastic and beautiful, I especially enjoyed the one with the beach-like vibes, and the hotels breakfast buffet is amazing with a range of delicious options but I do recommend getting there early on busy days because it does get really crowded. We ordered room service quite a lot and the food was great. Overall the JW Mariott is the perfect hotel for everyone and we hope to return!
Just got back after a 5-night stay in one of the suites. My husband and I travel a lot, and this is easily one of the best resorts we’ve stayed at in Australia, although it is also one of the most expensive. Unfortunately, there was an issue with our original room, as we had accidentally been booked into a twin-bed room. Being 7 months pregnant, sharing a single bed with my husband obviously wasn’t going to work! The mistake itself wouldn’t have bothered us, except I had called ahead and spoken to someone who assured me the bed situation would be sorted before we arrived. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case, and we ended up paying a significant amount to upgrade our room. The other disappointing part was that breakfast wasn’t included, particularly considering the room was almost $700 per night. At that price point, I would have expected breakfast to be included. Aside from those issues, we had a wonderful stay. The staff were amazing, the amenities were incredible, and the location was perfect an easy walk to the beach and Cavill Avenue, while still being far enough away from the busier areas to feel relaxing. Overall, a beautiful resort and somewhere we really enjoyed staying. We will definitely come back :)
I don’t often leave reviews, but the service I received tonight at the JW Marriott Gold Coast absolutely deserves one. From the moment I arrived, Connor and Harry went above and beyond to make my evening genuinely memorable. Hospitality is something you can usually tell within the first few minutes, and these two set the standard. They were warm, professional, attentive and incredibly genuine throughout the entire night. What stood out most wasn’t just that they did their jobs well, it was the way they made me feel welcomed and valued as a guest. Every interaction was effortless, nothing was too much trouble, and they consistently anticipated what I needed before I even had to ask. It’s rare to come across service that feels so natural and authentic. The JW Marriott is a beautiful property, but exceptional people are what truly create an unforgettable experience. Connor and Harry are a credit to the hotel and are exactly the type of staff that keep guests coming back. Their attention to detail, positive attitudes and commitment to delivering outstanding service turned what would have been a great evening into an exceptional one. Please make sure this feedback reaches both of them, as recognition is thoroughly deserved. Thank you, Connor and Harry, for making my stay so enjoyable. I’ll remember your hospitality long after I’ve checked out, and I look forward to returning because of experiences like this.
Our family enjoyed a wonderful time at this resort. The heated pool is epic and perfect for the cooler weather, and the second pool is set up as a lagoon with a private man-made beach complete with fish you can swim with. The rooms are modern, with comfortable beds and complete privacy (no noise from the neighbors). The service was impeccable, friendly and helpful - they even provide an evening turn down service with after dinner chocolates on our pillows. It's a very short walk to the beach, and if you're lucky there's fantastic views of the beach from the windows and balconies.
