I visited this sanctuary as part of the river cruise tour via getaguide and it was absolutely fantastic. This tour was recommended to me from a work colleague and it did not disappoint and I will do a separate review about the tour company. I accessed the sanctuary from the river and there is about 25 steps up to the sanctuary. The sanctuary itself is big and there are lots of different animals, the main focus is of course the koalas. All the animals looked in excellent condition and very really well cared for with lots of staff cleaning and feeding animals whilst I was there. They were all super friendly and willing to answer questions as you’re going round and very knowledgable. There’s also toilets, hand washing stations and a cafe/ gift shop on site with all the usual merchandise and amenities for a lovely day out. I spent about 3 hours here and that was plenty of time to get round and see everything (it wasn’t busy- it may take longer on busy days!) Definitely would recommend the kangaroos (although be aware they are very chill and docile and I’m advised they absolutely aren’t like this in the wild!) I sat with one kangaroo for about 25mins stroking it and it was honestly the most wholesome thing I did whilst in Brisbane. Genuinely a memory I will treasure. My advice, if you like koalas and kangaroos just go, you will not regret it.
