Niigi Niigi (Sealy Lookout) in Orara East State Forest was Coffs Harbour's first eco-certified tourism attraction.
Just 15 minutes north of Coffs, Niigi Niigi is home to the famous Forest Sky Pier. From 15 metres above the forest floor, the Forest Sky Pier offers visitors an amazing panoramic view from mountains to the coast. The Forest Sky Pier is complemented by an all-access undercover picnic area, picnic tables in the surrounding forest, and rainforest walking tracks.
Giingan Gumbaynggirr Cultural Experience tours happen here - a great way to learn about the culture and practices of the Gumbaynggirr people. Or take an adventure with adjacent Coffs Treetops, climbing, soaring and traipsing through the canopy.
Visitors should also take time to visit Gumgali Track at adjacent Korora Lookout, a First People Interpretive Walk and experience that tells the Gumbaynggirr story of Gumgali, the Black Goanna. Visitors can also listen to the story in Gumbaynggirr language at the sound bar.
Access is via a sealed road for the majority of the drive. Head north from Coffs Harbour on the Pacific Highway, turn left onto Bruxner Park Road (just north of the Big Banana) then left again at the ridge top onto Scenic Drive, following the road up to the Lookout.
Great view, and close to some dog friendly bush walks. Just keep an eye out for leeches as we got covered on the rainforest walk recently
Brilliant views. The sky pier is a masterpiece construction. The drive up the mountain is memorable. Great picnic area and structures.
A magical spot on top of the hill, surrounded by trees and greenery, overlooking the beaches of Coffs Harbour from above. There are basic toilet facilities (pit toilets, no running water) and a small canteen with coffee on site. A very pleasant place with a breathtaking view — highly recommended for scenic lookout lovers.
Didn't even know this place existed but holy crap the views from up here are good. Site is really well maintained and the drive up is also quite pleasant. Treetops is also up here which is great for the kids, just be mindful it can be busy on the school holidays.
A very easy stroll from the carpark. Stunning view towards Coffs Harbour and surrounding beaches.
