Escape to Nature's Energy for a few hours of self-care or a whole day of relaxation and rejuvenation.
Nature's Energy offers nourishing massage and beauty treatments, as well as immersive day spa packages, invigorating bathhouse experiences (with traditional sauna, steam room and hot spa), and spiritual reading and healing services. You will leave feeling rebalanced and re-energised, with a sense of physical and mental clarity.
Services are as described, but everything is a lot smaller in person than I had imagined from the photos. So compact that you have to squeeze past people. These spaces can feel intimate, especially in swimwear, and it’s worth noting you don’t know who you will share it with, regardless of booking an appt. The change room is also very small.
The salt scrub is a nice touch, but the shower is in the same room, so close to the tubs that people can just watch.
The mineral pool was cloudy with floaters.
The traditional sauna was great. Infrared sauna never went above 64C. The cold plunge didn’t display a temp.
The tea is in the lobby which I didn’t see until we were leaving. It would have been nice to have while in there.
I’m glad I tried it, but I’ll try a different location if I decide to do another session with Nature’s Energy.

I bought my partner a bathhouse session for us both and a massage for him after for his birthday, first time for us both, we loved it. Justin showed us around, he was very informative and helpful. Made us feel happy and relaxed. Loved it we will be back. Thank you 😊

Had the best birthday at Nature’s Energy Newtown!! Shoutout to Imad for the relax and restore massage, he took the time to make sure I was okay and comfortable consistently and beforehand did a consultation to better understand my lifestyle which I appreciated. Also special mention to Dan the receptionist, very welcoming and very knowledgeable on all the products and services at the bathhouse. Love this place, you’ll see me again for sure! - Mikayla

Unfortunately it's not worth it if you are going specifically for the Bathhouse aspect. The "hot pool" was only 36°...my bath tub is hotter. And it was a weird shape, it was all round and metal and everyone had to awkwardly have their legs in the middle and you can't actually sit back and relax properly. There's also nowhere to put your drink bottle within reach the way it's set up. So you just sit there awkwardly with your legs all in the middle with strangers. Super uncomfortable and off putting. Definitely not relaxing.
The cold plunge is only 1 small bathtub size, and way too cold as it's also made of metal. You also can't submerge properly like the other bathhouses because it's too small.
The staff are absolutely wonderful though and the facilities are fine. So, if you are more interested in the steam and sauna it would suit you. The scrub station was a nice touch as well, but I will not be returning, as it's not the Bathhouse experience I have come to expect. Pity, because it's way closer to where I live.
My favourite is Slowhouse Bondi, now called 38° for serene dark mood lighting, a huge plunge pool and a 36° and a 38° pool which is way easier to sit in and relax, and also, SOAK Bathhouse for a brighter and more social experience. They also have a very large plunge and 2x hot pools. Both these places have a 36° & 38° pools.

Visited Newtown Bathhouse with its new renovation open day. Had a 60 minute message and 2 hour Bathhouse session booked.
My massage therapist (unfortunately I forgot her name) was so so lovely. She did such an amazing job with my massage one of the top two massages I’ve received so far!
The Bathhouse was wonderful too. Just a forewarning, we booked two hours but felt that was a little long especially when it gets packed out with several people and people aren’t whispering like they should be. Just kind of ruined it for us so we decided to cut it short and only stayed for 60minutes. I think 60-90mins is the most you’d probably want to spend there. Customers should be reminded to whisper when they are there. One couple was super loud during our visit and it was a little bit annoying.
Overall would definitely recommend. The lady at reception was really lovely too. Can’t wait to go back. But maybe during a less busy hour as even with a capacity of 7 people there just isn’t enough space for everyone as the infrared sauna and sauna can only fit a maximum of two people laying down.
