We've lived on the Gold Coast for three years and had no idea this gem of magic was tucked away less than an hour's drive from the coast. What an absolutely beautiful, fun, and relaxing experience up there in the stunning mountains and in the nature that this beautiful country has to offer! We stayed in one of the villas, which surpassed expectations, and we absolutely loved the hot tub spa bath that was on our balcony, made even more magical by all of the beautiful parrots that came to sit on the balcony to say hello to us every single day. The activities that were put on all day, every day, delighted both us and our young children. The staff were friendly, and there was so much to do. The walking trails were magical, and there were all different varieties so that we had enough to choose from for the small kids who were with us. There was so much wildlife to see along the way, and we truly had such a beautiful time. The bird feeding and animal encounter was a complete delight. We still can't get over how many beautiful parrots would just comfortably come and sit on us and enjoy the bird seed. Kids loved the flying fox line (howwww many times they are allowed to keep zipping down it!). Well stocked mini shop, Cafe and evening bar (the mulled wine was a nice touch on a crispy winters night). And the heating/fire in the villa was toasty as. So much fun, laughter, cherished memories - and it felt like being in a little slice of heaven! Highly recommend, and we will definitely visit again, whether we're going back again as family or even a girls weekend getaway. If you like nature, you will LOVE o'reillys ❤️ Thank you o'reillys team - especially Kyle
Amazing experience, never seen so many different and colourful birds. All staff are super friendly. Activities and hikes are great around here, definitely bring the hiking map they give you. Glow worm tour was beautiful. Just the drive up there is long and adventurous. Buffets were good too, just the coffee could be improved. My 8y.o. daughter’s fair review: The rooms are so comfortable and the mattress is so soft and also i definitely recommend that if you want to use the pool definitely go in summer. If you just want the spa and feel cozy definitely in winter, and if the spa has a curtain on it you can just pull it off. Once you are done you can close it again. The place is very beautiful and nice but the pizza could be a bit better. The rest is good and definitely recommend in winter to bring a lot of warm clothes (scarfs, beanies, jackets etc)
Better service at the Mountain Cafe. On the first day we waited over 15 minutes just to order some drinks whilst the barrister was standing at the machine talking. A family in front of us were also not impressed. When the hot chocolates came out it was pure milk with all the chocolate sitting at the bottom, disappointing. We tried multiple days to buy bird seed for the bird feeding and found it extremely difficult all times. No service. Same women standing around on her phone on Instagram. When we asked for service she replied with “it’s not my issue” and proceeded to look on her phone. Many other individuals around us were not pleased with this service. Additionally, our room was great, except for the bed. We had a “king size” bed. It was two smaller beds pushed together with a zip. This would’ve been 100% okay, if only the zip wasn’t broken and didn’t even hold the beds together. Every night someone was falling into the crack of the two beds as the zip simply would not stay up. Apart from these notes everything was great!
Our family visit O’Reilly’s every year or two & it never disappoints! Perfect balance of relaxation, nature walks and quiet! We like to stay in the villas, as it’s a little bit more secluded and quiet and offers the kitchen option. The walks are so incredible and tracks well maintained, the grounds are absolutely stunning and our stays are always hassle free. This time we tried the Lost World Spa which was a real hit! Only feedback- we were disappointed to discover the Dining Room now only offers buffet option at dinner. We preferred an à la carte style menu and unfortunately we couldn’t be accommodated in the upstairs bar due to our group size.
