Kuranda Rainforest in Kuranda is an amazing tropical escape surrounded by lush greenery and incredible wildlife. The whole experience feels peaceful and refreshing, far away from the busy city life. The highlight of the trip for me was definitely the Army Duck experience at Rainforestation Nature Park. It was so much fun riding both on land and through the water inside the rainforest. It feels unique and exciting, especially if it’s your first time visiting a rainforest. The guide also shared interesting facts about the plants and animals along the way, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, it’s a must-do when visiting Kuranda – highly recommended!
We enjoyed a phenomenal afternoon at Rainforestation today! We saw and experienced everything except seeing cassowaries, so that's a lot. The rainforest tour with Carston on the World War II duck was enlightening, and Carston was funny. Louis gave us a wonderful indigenous cultural experience with boomerang throwing, hearing and learning about the didgeridoo, and observing spear throwing. We enjoyed the unique indigenous music and dancing. It was amazing to see so many animals, and talking with Zach and other staff to learn more about them, especially at feeding time. I got to hold a koala, Jaro, and we got our picture taken. At closing, we had the pleasure of speaking with Michael, a member of the ownership family and shared about our excellent experience. Congrats on the golden anniversary of your facility. We love it!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We visited Rainforestation Kuranda on Friday after hearing so many wonderful stories from others, and it absolutely exceeded our expectations. What an extraordinary experience! From the stunning rainforest setting to the professional and engaging cultural presentations, every part of the day was first-class. The staff were welcoming, knowledgeable, and passionate about showcasing the beauty and heritage of Far North Queensland. Rainforestation is truly a world-class attraction and one of the standout experiences in FNQ. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the region. Whether you’re a local or a tourist, this is an experience not to be missed. Thank you for a memorable and inspiring day!
Excellent guide with fantastic commentary and very informative. Well worth the army duck tour. This is all we did due to having young children with us. On our way out we did feed the fish and turned in the lagoon and were rewarded with many big fish and turtles swimming around.
A great experience for locals as well as tourists. We did the army duck tour which was entertaining and informative, then the Pamagirri cultural experience. We learned about making and playing a didgeridoo, and using spears and boomerangs for hunting - then a great presentation of music and dancing. There’s a nice cafe and restaurant, and shuttle buses to take guests to other attractions in Kuranda. We’re so pleased we went! Highly recommended
