Step into the stories of the Redlands Coast at the Redlands Coast Museum in Cleveland (Nandeebie).
What began as a small, volunteer-led project to preserve local farm equipment has grown into a vibrant, award-winning community museum—home to over 50 years of Redlands Coast history, culture, and heritage.
At Redlands Coast Museum, real people and real stories take centre stage. The exhibitions span multiple buildings and invite visitors to explore the rich and diverse fabric of this unique region—from its farming roots to its coastal villages and islands. Discover immersive displays including a traditional blacksmith workshop, historic schoolroom, chapel, post office, and more. The walls adorn impressive floor-to-ceiling murals and artefacts and stories from the area's past.
The museum is also home to the Australian Toy Hall of Fame, the only one of its kind in the country, and boasts a celebrated collection of textiles and dolls. With a dynamic calendar of special exhibitions, events and concerts, there's always something new to experience.
As trusted keepers of the Redlands Coast's social history, celebrating community stories, past and present, and create a welcoming space for learning, reflection and connection.

The best favorite museum I have been visit ever! Supper friendly staffs, nice rooms with full of ancient stuffs. I felt like stepping back old centuries, everything so beautiful, an ancient beauty..... it's incredible! So lucky evething got protect carefully and we have chance to see.
The most wonderful regional museum I have ever visited. Magnificently maintained. Super friendly volunteers. Has a lovely little gallery and cafe. They also put on several low cost events during the year. A huge asset to the community.
Probably the best regional museum I've ever been to. They have a scavenger hunt for the family to find different items on display and the kids loved it. There is so much to see, read and learn, we really didn't get to stay as long as we needed to. We'll definitely be back.
A lovely little museum, only $6 concession to get in, children free. Lots of old things to look at. Full of local history too. A little train!tram that you can pretend to work from the drivers seat and blow the horn. Loads of different sections with different themes, eg toy room with how toys have changed with time, a doll section, a general store of how one would have been back in the day with genuine posters and articles from the time, eg of a dining room from back in the day with real furniture from the past. There's loads to see, old motor bikes, old carts, old Holden, some vehicles are over 100yrs old! There's even homemade biscuits $8, a little showbag with homemade wooden toys and boiled lollies for $20, and a collector badge you can purchase on your way on/out if you want to take a momento. There are old model ships, and stories/from from real local/and other people from the olden days. We loved it. A lovely, cheap, informative, fun day out.
What a hidden gem. Such an interesting, well set out and huge collection of items, looked after by dedicated volunteers. If you love old things and history, you will love this place. Highly recommend.
