Ok so I can’t really complain, because I got a refund for the rest of my stay, 5 nights . It was refunded within 20 mins. Quite unusual. I’m guessing it’s to stop negative reviews. BUT, this is hospitality and it felt anything but. Ther was scaffolding on the far side away from my room, but it moved to outside my apartment near main pool. So it was noisy and I wanted to rest as I had a head cold. This was the final straw as they should’ve let guests know before booking. . The rooms are NOT sound proof. I had a ground floor pool side room. I heard thumping foot steps for an hour 8-11pm and again at 5.30 am above me. How on earth a human can sound like a horse stomping above me I’ll never know. Locals swimming in the pool and noisy. Smoke alarm beeping, some Other alarm sounding. Basically it’s a council estate. This is no exaggeration. 1 tiny shampoo/conditioner tube for 5 days and two tiny dishwasher sachets. There are better options for low range budget. Ie Inn Cairns . I wouldn’t not bother staying here , it’s just like faulty towers. It was too dingy and I didnt take photos of the rooms, they are very dated and dark.
The Resly Cloud Based Management System used by this hotel retains ALL of your credit cards including the CVV. I stayed there in Oct 2025 and Resly were hacked in Jan 2026. I was notified on July 1 2026. Most hotels claim to retain your credit card details for 7 days. But if you stay at this hotel it doesn’t seem to be the case.
Dingy. The staff do a great job of trying to keep clean something that is old and cheap. No amount of cleaning can cover an old and dingy complex that has exceptionally cheap everything supplied. Smokers sit along the path so you have to walk into their foul smoke to get in and out, with it blowing into the rooms at night. Rooms are tiled and not soundproof so through the night people upstairs keep everyone awake dragging furniture. There are cockroaches. The blankets are old and too well used by so many people. There are itchy things in the bed. The bed is two sagging single beds pushed together with a hard join so you essentially get single beds because you can’t cross the join. Everything is cheap and greasy and the verandah looks into everyone elses apartments. There are a lot of dodgy old men wandering around smoking. There isn’t a washing machine - the laundromat is a dingy concrete old room that everyone uses. I was forced to stay here by my workplace and it feels like i am in a housing project. No proper sleep and nothing is pleasant. Might be ok for a night but definitely not a holiday place.
The room I had looked south over a factory and from 7am a forklift was constantly buzzing going backwards and forwards in front of my room. Because the window only has shutters (which were closed) the noise not only woke me up by my long anticipated sleep in was not possible! Suggest anyone staying here asks for a room away from the south facing section! Also, it has two floors so if you are older I suggest requesting a ground or 1st floor room within your booking. There are no lifts. The room and bathroom were excellently serviced and clean. The bed was comfortable with crisp white linen. Fantastic air conditioning AND ceiling fan 👍
Love staying here. Great rooms that lead onto the pools which is ideal. So close to Cairns Central Station and the Shopping Centre and the buses too and a nice walk to the Esplanade.
