Great place to visit in Sunshine coast, if you are interested in ginger. Entry is through the huge shop stocked with all the Buderim ginger products in the market. Then there is the outdoor cafe and ice cream area. We had ginger scones with cream and ginger marmalade, highly recommended. There is a kids play area, beer garden, gift shop, tropical garden & lake. Loved the colourful umbrella garden, it was raining heavily during our visit. All these are free. There is a kid's train & boat ride which has tickets. Ginger tour is a paid event and is the only way to see the operational factory floor making the famous crystallized ginger. It runs for an hour and includes a tasting plate at the end, we thoroughly enjoyed it. There is a honey tour but we didn't do it. Public bus connects it to Nambour station (for train to Brisbane) and Noosa, very few services in a day.
Spent some time at The Ginger Factory in Yandina, QLD today and it turned out to be such a relaxing and enjoyable little escape 🌿✨ One of the best things is that entry is completely free, and there’s plenty of free parking available, which makes it super easy and stress-free to visit. As soon as you walk in, the whole place feels calm and refreshing, surrounded by greenery, open spaces, and a really nice atmosphere to just slow down and wander around. There are lots of cute spots to explore, whether you feel like taking a peaceful walk, checking out the little shops, or just enjoying the surroundings. It’s the kind of place where you don’t need a strict plan (you can just take your time and enjoy the vibe). I tried their ginger immunity shot and it was really fresh, strong, and energizing. You can definitely taste the quality and the kick of real ginger! I was actually planning to try the Overboard Boat ride, but because it was ANZAC Day the schedule started later at 1:30pm, so I didn’t get the chance this time 🥲 definitely something to come back for next time! Overall, it’s a great spot for a casual visit, whether you’re passing through or just looking for something different to do around the Sunshine Coast. Easy, relaxing, and a nice change of pace 🍃
Love it here. This was the best stir fry I have had in ages! So moreish and fresh! Such a great little spot up the coast to travel too. The Ginger Kitchen has delicious and reasonably priced food. The Ice cream Gelato bar is amazing and even has options for vegans or lactose intolerant people like me! Vegan Ginger coffee ice cream so good!
What a great place to visit in the Sunshine Coast ~ whether you love ginger or not, the Ginger Factory is an awesome place to experience. Catering for all ages, this place has it all, a fun time for the kids in the Zog forest adventure ~ immerse yourself & the kiddies in nature, surrounded by lush greenery & mystical characters, this adventure will have the kids entertained for a while. You can also enjoy the bee show & a train ride which sounded like fun, however we didn’t experience this ~ maybe next time! The gardens are beautiful with lots to see, there are plenty of shops for souvenirs & or gift ideas as well as all the ginger 🫚 & bee 🐝 products to purchase. There are lots of foods & drinks on offer with plenty of seating areas to sit & rest or just enjoy the scenery / nature. You’ll also see some wild life & plenty of ginger plants, as well as a beautiful display of colourful umbrellas & if you’re lucky enough you’ll also see turtles swimming in the pond. You could easily spend the day without being bored as there are plenty of activities for all.
We arrived at 9:30am and purchased tickets for the 10am Ginger Factory Tour and the 11am Live Bee Show. The taste testing was incredible — Kathy and Erin were both so knowledgeable and engaging! The rainbow umbrella walk was absolutely stunning, and the “Boat Around the World” ride was wonderfully interactive with great displays that kept everyone entertained. Lunch at the Ginger Kitchen came out quickly, and everyone enjoyed their meals. Afterward, we did the Zog Rainforest Walk, where we even met a real-life Zog! The train ride was a lovely way to finish exploring the grounds — it really showed how well-maintained the gardens are and gave us a chance to spot some local wildlife. Before heading home, we stopped for gelato at the Gelato Bar (delicious!) and browsed through the gift shop. Overall, a fantastic day out for all ages — fun, educational, and beautifully presented. Highly recommend! 🌿🍯🚂
