Great location for venturing out and about. Only downside is the busy and quite noisy road that passes the chalets. The view from the balcony is fantastic and perfect for a sunset. There is plenty of room and storage. Loved the fire place! Everything was catered for, just wished there would’ve been better quality toiletries, but that’s just personal preference. The mould on the shower floor could do with a bleach attack. Myself didn’t find the bed comfortable, however, such like pillows and bedding in general is always personal preference and hard to comment on. Everyone likes their sleep differently. Otherwise a very nice place to stay.
Amazing chalets with incredible views! Was so peaceful to sit on the private balcony each morning with a cup of tea and watch the wildlife wake up whilst listening to the rain ✨ The breakfast hamper provided was perfect and had everything we needed for the weekend. Fully functioning kitchen meant we could spend as much time there as possible. The fire was a lovely touch to light at night in the evenings - cannot wait to return!
We were so impressed by the beautiful views from the balcony and the wildlife. A couple of things did take the magic away, we had a noisy water pump just of our balcony and the traffic was quite constant that unfortunately you're awake at the crack of dawn because of it. We still managed to enjoy peaceful nights though by the fire and were happy with our breakfast hamper.
Stayed in #5. Comfortable bed with beautiful views. Cold enough to light a fire with timber provided, which was a treat. Lovely walks and views in close proximity, and the nearby Indian was a good option for cozy takeaway by the fire. A few of the fixtures and fittings were a bit tired and it was difficult to lock the door from inside or outside. Wonderful sitting on the deck watching the sunset and stars emerge, and listening to birdsong on the timber lounge with morning cup of tea. Very bright artificial lights from outside into the bedroom with no blockout blinds, and the road noise into the evening and starting early morning was very noticeable.
Upon arrival there’s no visible reception and no signs to show where it may be. So we drove down the driveway to find a closed sign, we eventually got a text message with instructions on how to access our accommodation. The room was very average dated old timber vj walled cottage with an old picture that looks like it was an original feature from when the cottage was first built. Went to make a cup of tea, but before I could we had to wash all the dishes as 2 mugs had a weird yellow stuff that looked like old tea or honey in them and upon inspecting the rest of dishes we found several plates were dirty, luckily there’s a dishwasher but it was still disappointing. We stayed 2 nights but we’re only supplied enough kindling and fire lighters for one night, we hoped they may have restocked the next day but no, went sent a message requesting some but never received a response or kindling. The view was nice and the renovated bathroom was like being in a totally different place, then you walk back out into the dated timber room that makes you go hmmmm instead of wow. I think the accommodation is overpriced and underwhelming and we definitely won’t be revisiting again
