The Star Casino Gold Coast sits inside The Star hotel complex. ENTRY REQUIREMENT - 18 year old and older only - Bring photo ID HOW TO GET THERE - You can catch a bus or tram to the nearest stations and walk to the casino, via Casino Drive. - Bus and tram costs 50 cents (at time of writing). - Nearest Stations: (1) Broadbeach South Station (recomended) - 10-minute walk (2) Broadbeach North Station - 12-minute walk - Google Map (at time of writing) wrongly shows a long (detour) walk from Broadbeach South Bus Station. It is possible to walk from Broadbeach South Bus Station to the southern part of Casino Drive to the casino. FREE DRINKS - There are vending machines at the casino that you can use to dispense free drinks: coffee, tea, hot chocolate, hot water - The vending machines are not clearly marked as "Free" or "Complementary", but the drinks are free. - The quality and taste of the coffee and tea were not great (at time of writing). Hot chocolate was the best drink. FREE MEMBERSHIP - Membership is free, so definitely join to enjoy member benefits such as member prices for food, free movies, and free try with daily lucky draw (e.g. win a car, food vouchers etc.) - available at time of writing. - Bring photo ID (e.g. passport) GAMBLING - Roulette machine (with single zero and spun by machine, not real person) has a minimum bet of $1.00. - Best chance to win: Black or Red, Odd or Even. FREE MOVIES - Free movies are available to Star Casino members (free) on selected Mondays. - Check Star website for timing and movie details. - Entry to the cinema (going down via stairs) is just outside the entry to the casino.
