What a great day. Make sure you take the farm tour. Very informative and a chance to see the baby camels. So cute!!! Try the food in the Cafe, enjoy the view, buy some products (it really does seem to be good for your skin and hair and they smell great) but most of all just have a great day. Plenty of parking, such happy and friendly staff.
Had a fantastic experience at Summer Land Camels. The tour was informative, the staff were friendly and passionate, and the setting was beautiful. We loved learning about the camels, tasting the unique products, and enjoying the relaxed atmosphere. A great day out and highly recommended for anyone visiting the area
We absolutely love the summer land camels for a morning out. We usually visit on a weekday around 9:30/10. My 3 kids love feeding the camels and having a hot chocolate or smoothie after. The prices to feed the camels are so cheap 3 huge bags for $9. It’s always clean and the staff are so friendly.
What a fun morning. Feeding the camels was very enjoyable. Well worth the $10 ( for 4 bags of feed). So much fun that we were fighting over the last bag of feed far more than the camels were. Coffee was good too. Will definitely be back.
260513 - BNE Trip - TINAMISHU There’s something almost surreal about seeing a camel up close, not the tourist ‑ ride kind you find in Nelson Bay, but real working camels living their slow, ancient rhythm. That’s what struck me the moment I stepped into Summer Land Camel Farm. The land is wide, open, sun‑washed… the kind of place where time doesn’t rush you. The camels roam like they belong to the landscape, not the other way around. The farm itself feels honest. Nothing forced, nothing staged. Just a natural, earthy space with scattered seating areas, shaded corners, and enough room for families to spread out and breathe. I saw a big family gathering during my visit. It made the place feel alive. Food is simple and limited, but made with care. The only hiccup was the wait; over 30 minutes for a burger and chips. A long pause for a small menu, but somehow the atmosphere softened the frustration. You don’t feel the same kind of impatience here; the land slows you down. What stayed with me most wasn’t the camels or the scenery, it was the people. The staff treated every visitor like a guest, not a customer. At one point, an older team member gently stepped in to help a father with an unsettled child. No fuss, no awkwardness, just kindness. Watching that moment felt strangely grounding, like witnessing the best part of human nature in a place you didn’t expect it. For a quick family escape, this farm is a beautiful little pocket of calm. I picked up a small bottle of camel‑milk vodka too; haven’t tried it yet, but I’ll update once I do.
