I wanted to have a half a day tour of the reef. Tusa Tours was the only company in the Cairns - Port Douglas region that met my requirement. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this company provided every material that other larger Reef tour company provides namely floaters, good snorkel, wet suit to fit. The staff was very friendly and made every effort to ensure that I got to see the reef and the fishes in spite of my handicaps - age and being non swimmer. I would recommend them whole heartedly. The staff on the boat provided services better than what is advertised.

My girlfriend and I spent the day before at Fitzroy Island and didn’t have the best snorkeling experience. We were wary about booking a tour as we were afraid we might have a similar experience. We ended up booking the tour from a brochure we found at our hotel. We were looking for a half day activity with one sole location. It had everything we were looking for ! We were about 36 today in the boat and it didn’t feel overwhelming at any time. The boat was spacious and comfortable. The crew took really good care of us and gave us plenty of time in the water (2 full hours). The location was just unbelievable. Crystal clear waters (we went in the water around 10:30 (with low tide, sunny, low southeastern wind), healthy and colourful corals and fish. Couldn’t have asked for a better day.

Strong, comfortable boat that was able to cut through 3-6 meter swells easily to get to the reef. Great crew - friendly and knowledgeable and helpful, all the equipment you need for snorkeling or diving. Safety first too with a leader in the water, a tender boat in the water, and a spotter on the top deck. ((You can snorkel off on your own as well within visibility of the boat and group.) They offer photos underwater for sale, lunch can be bought in advance, water, fruit and hot drinks on board (if not too rough). The reef is not what it once was but still a bucket list item and great snorkeling experience. Highly recommended.

What a great day - the boat was the best snorkel boat in Cairns - we compared other vessels but Tusa offers the best stability and comfort out of weather. Hot shower after the snorkel was also great. Well done to the crew - lovely, helpful and made us all feel safe. We bought the lunch box option also and that was great.

Had a great day with Tusa reef tours, we did the half day snorkel which was great! The staff were extremely knowledgeable, made the day feel so fun and special! It was so great having a lovely snorkel guide (Lara) to give us information about the reef and fish. Would highly recommend this tour with Tusa and also paying for the photos is worth it!!! Thanks!!
