They offer 15 spacious powered sites for caravans, motorhomes, buses and tents. One of the powered sites is a double-site, suitable for a large family or a group of friends. The booking platform clearly indicates the length and width of each individual site. The sites are not concreted and may be unlevel, as they want to keep the feel of a nature-campground. They recommend filling your water tanks before arrival as they do not offer water refill on-site. They do have spotless amenities for your convenience. The amenities contain of hot and cold showers, flushing toilets and a sink to wash your dishes or fill drinking bottles.

They have plenty of unpowered sites available on site. Depending on weather conditions, you will be able to choose your favorite campsite upon arrival. They can cater for groups or individuals and the camping area is accessible for small and large vehicles. Sites are available in close proximity to the amenities or in secluded Alcoves, surrounded by beautiful Paperbark Trees. Your solar needs are also covered in the wide-open grassy area.
My partner and I had the loveliest weekend staying in the tiny houses at Travellers Rest 1770. We usually travel with a rooftop tent, so the tiny house was a really lovely treat. There happened to be a storm passing by which made it the coziest experience. The cabin felt intimate and welcoming, yet still had plenty of space to cook, unwind, and relax. Waking up to the gentle sounds of the birds and trees while watching kangaroos grazing nearby was such a peaceful way to start the day. It was the perfect relaxing getaway and we can’t recommend more.
After reading the reviews we decided to book this place. Firstly no phone or internet connection here. No problem for us but something to think about if passing through and want to do research for your trip. We were hoping for a nice quiet area out of town but the whole experience fell short of the hope and expectations of this place. Firstly they have a lovely new kitchen and seating area built. Bbq, microwave, kettle and sink. But no fridge, the owner actually said she didn't want to clean it so they don't have one. Something so basic that makes life easier for guests there should really be a fridge. No tools for the BBQ, no soap or cloths at the sink and no hot water. I watched multiple people boiling kettle after kettle of water when they wanted to do dishes. Again something so simple when your building such a nice kitchen to skip. Even a little electric water heater above the sink so they can keep the same hose pipe plugged in underneath. Again unnecessarily over looked and why no cleaning things, first time I've seen this on the road and shows the lack of attention to detail. The men's toilets were always dirty and we stayed for 3 nights. The men's hand soap was also out for 3 days straight. Obviously they see the toilets the same as the fridge situation. Hot showers with good pressure. The head of the end shower in the men's bathroom is not tight so water sprays out the connection and mould growing on the caulking. Again shows they aren't really going too deep into the basic care. Walkway is lovely around the property a very nice touch for an evening stroll. Now the most disappointing is it's extremely close to the road. We picked it because it was out of town and we wanted it to be peaceful but the road noise was quite bad, just something to think about if you do stay. Slightly bigger sights than normal which is nice but you still hear everyone. All in all a mixed stay but probably wouldn't stay again
We booked the Rainbow Bee-Eater Nest site so we could be with friends on the one site. It is a great sized, powered site close to the amenities. We had two camper trailers, however you could easily fit more if you wanted. The site is close to the amenities block, which was spotless. Travellers Rest Stop is close enough to Agnes/1770 for an easy drive to town and beaches, yet far enough away so you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. It ticked all our boxes and I would recommend it to anyone.
Me and my boyfriend stayed at Traveller’s Rest for 2 nights, everything was perfect! Staff was really friendly and provided tips on what to do around, amenities were sufficient and clean and the place was absolutely gorgeous and peaceful! We did a bush walk both by day and night and the way the owners organized the place in a way to preserve the surrounding nature while giving the guests an outdoor experience in connection with the surroundings was amazing, we were really impressed. One of the most amazing and peaceful places we’ve ever visited 😊
We had an unpowered tent site. The area is very big. No problem choosing an area to set up. Lots of grassed paddock. There was a barbeque table next to the pond. Very handy. I had to change the booking as we were a day late leaving brisbane. The rearrangement was no hassle at all. The amenities block is fairly new, hot water, clean toilets and showers and a washing up/sink area at the front with hot water. The road into town is quite close but the road noise was not a problem. There is an ad onsite that indicates you can stay for seven (7) days free, if you clean the amenities block for five (5) days. Fire pit is free. They sell bags of firewood which is enough for two (2) nights. I will stay here again. But another for EV drivers; the charging facilities in Agnes Waters, 1770 and surrounds are basically non-existent. I drove to Miriam Vale to fast charge. Most of an hour's drive! Got back to travellers rest with 85% charge. Someone told me Pavilions was a charge station, in 1770. It is not. Unless you want to wait 5 hours for an 80% charge.
