Potoroo Palace Native Wildlife Park is located 10 minutes north of Merimbula on Princess Highway. They are passionate about conservation, education and community.
Visit the park to see koalas, wombats, echidnas and long nosed potoroos. Wander among the kangaroos, touch a snake, stroll through the walk-through aviary with the gang gang cockatoos and have a great coffee at the cafe. And you might find a something precious and fun in our very popular shop.
You can get up close to kangaroos, emus, ducks and native geese who roam the park freely and hand feed them with an Animal Feed Bag that is available at the entrance. And take a train ride on the popular train!

Potoroo Palace is a must-visit for animal lovers. We had a fantastic time seeing such unique and special animals in a beautiful setting. An unexpected but lovely stop on our road trip! We spent a few hours here visiting each of the animals, talking with some of the keepers (lovely people) and the birds (Chuffy and Max in particular), feeding emus, geese and ducks, and my mum got to meet Jimmy the koala! A great little sanctuary that seems to really care about the animals they have, most of which have had tough lives before coming to live out the rest of their lives in comfort here.

It was a wonderful experience. Many of the rescued animals have some sad stories attached, but they are now being looked after well and safe. There is a certain amount of interactivity with the animals, but they do also have signage when this is ill-advised.

Food was incredibly overpriced and disgusting... bring your own picnic, or 🥪 Not many animals that you wouldn't find by just walking into the forest. The emus were cool and the birds were friendly

A real gem on the Sapphire Coast. The animals are really well looked after. The kangaroos and emus are free roam so you can get up close to them. You can buy a bag of feed (available at the counter) to feed the kangaroos. I highly recommend a visit!
