About

Walk among nearly 600 beautiful birds in the Canberra Walk In Aviary. Offering visitors the chance to have an interactive experience where you can observe, photograph and feed the friendly free-flying birds as they fly in the large 1000 square metre planted aviary.

This is your chance to get up close and personal with nearly 60 different species from Australia and around the world. Count over 250 parrots and 350 finches, quail and pheasants.

Your entry fee includes a small plate of bird food, so some of the birds will come and interact with you.

The Canberra Walk In Aviary is only 20 minutes from the city centre in Federation Square, which is located in Gold Creek Village off the Barton Highway, Nicholls.

Entrance to the aviary is located directly behind the Green Gold Garden Centre. The Canberra Walk in Aviary is both pram and wheelchair friendly.

The Aviary does not have cafe facilities, but there several cafes within close proximity to the Aviary.
