Name: Honeysuckle Campground

Honeysuckle Campground is located near the former Honeysuckle Creek Tracking Station, which played a significant role in the 1969 Apollo 11 mission by transmitting audio and images of Neil Armstrong's first steps on the Moon. The campground is also in close proximity to Booroomba Rocks and Orroral Ridge, both of which offer excellent opportunities for bushwalking and rock climbing.

Set amongst tall ribbon gums and a myriad of granite boulders, Honeysuckle Campground provides a scenic setting for camping, stargazing and observing wildlife.

The Australian Alps Walking Track passes Honeysuckle Campground and provides an opportunity to explore northward to Mount Tennent, or southward to the Orroral Valley.

The campground can accommodate large groups, with space for up to four campervans or camper-trailers, and general tent-based camping. Camping fees apply. No dogs allowed.
