Took some people out had a great time lots if memories of all the old stuff from 40s right through to now watched a film and had lunch in the Cafe, meals were very reasonable so was the coffee. Recommend visitors to Canberra to take a couple of hours to see it. Also a good place for the young kids to see what life was about without a mobile phone or colour TV, but there should be more to see given the size of the building

What an absolutely amazing space...allow lots of time to see so many interesting and memorable displays. And the cherry on top is a great cafe with interesting spaces to enjoy terrific coffee.

Worth visiting just for the lovely art deco building and the tranquil courtyard garden café. I am sure they are doing a great job to preserve the archives but it is not easy to create an interesting way of interpreting it to the lay public. There is a small display in the library and there was a beautiful art video showing on a 5 minute loop. Other than that have a cup of coffee and admire the architecture.

The National Film and Sound Archive of Australia (NFSA) Canberra is big part of childhood and growing up as true Canberran I love the place to explore historical on classic movies and classic childhood memories on tv shows as well I hope there will classic films this year in 2026 I see can see It is good place to visit the heart of Canberra and staff are always welcome I love that

The building itself has alot of history and is stunning to see the details in person. Along with this the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. They have a current immersive installation that's worth seeing and I love the museum room full of film and sound artifacts. There is also some videos playing in another room that I found really interesting spend a couple of hours and get something to drink/eat at the gorgeous onsite cafe.
