Shepherds Lookout

Google maps took me somewhere that was not the look out. Still was a nice 6km walk i went on near the water. Havnt had a chance to go find the lookout again.

One of the best views in Canberra, only very short walk from the car park. Only down side is that it is nearby a water treatment plant, so at the wrong time with the wind blowing towards you it can smell quite bad as you walk to the lookout

A hidden gem in every sense—peaceful, powerful, and quietly unforgettable. I don’t know why Shepherds lookout is not very busy or popular. It should be. It’s lovely. Not busy. Calm 🥰
