Nightcap at the Cavenagh

We really loved this place. It’s great for the price and the internal rooms are super comfortable, with a huge fridge and TV. The best thing about this place was the staff (both hotel and pub). A special shout to Joy-Joy, Cara and the other reception team, who helped us massively when we had a mini crisis. They solved our problem and we had lots of laughs together. Thank you so much! ☺️

I booked a dorm room bed for a few nights expecting the 'normal' dorm situation but was so surprised when I arrived. The staff were gorgeous, really friendly and helpful. The dorm had just been renovated beautifully, large single beds (no bunkbeds) with their own cupboards and shelves and a curtain for privacy. The bathrooms and linen were spotless. And also it was a female only dorm which made such a difference. The hostel has a kitchen, pool, bar and restaurant attached and is only a 4 min walk to the Greyhound bus and local free bus terminal. Highly recommend staying here.

I stayed in an all female dorm style room and it was by far my favorite dorm experience so far. The beds are SO comfortable, I'm sleeping like a baby. They also have an ensuite bathroom that has 2 showers and 2 toilets and they are serviced every day. The staff has been so sweet and nice, even giving me recommendations and helping with anything I needed. The only recommendation I would have for this hotel is to update their laundry machines to have a tap to pay system. It wasn't a problem for me because I had cash and was able to get change from the reception desk, but if you didn't have cash it might serve as a problem. A very minor thing in retrospect, but I do like to give full reviews. I honestly would recommend this place to anyone visiting Darwin!

Stayed 6 nights internal rooms are quite and bed comfortable large fridge was good TV was crap no 7 or 9 and signal kept breaking up. POOL was good and staff running the hotel were friendly and helpful Restuarant meals were avarage nothing special would stay there again due to great location.
