Accommodation is very tired and needs updating. Only one working lift - 2nd lift has been out of action for quite some time. Found cockroaches in my bed. Staff are friendly and the restaurant has a great deck facing the ocean - evening meals were nice but I wouldn't recommend the breakfast. Great location. Not good value for money and I wouldn't stay again.

We recently stayed at Novotel Darwin and had an enjoyable experience overall. The hotel has a natural and welcoming atmosphere, and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms, however, are showing their age and would benefit from some upgrades. As we had booked a tour departing at 6:00 AM and the hotel kindly prepared a continental breakfast box for us. We also enjoyed the live music on Friday night, the female singer was wonderful and created a lovely atmosphere. The food was good, and the overall vibe of the hotel was relaxed and inviting.
We would especially like to recognize Vincent for his outstanding service. Despite the busy, he was very fast to respond and multitasking staff (taking orders, serving food, clearing tables, and assisting customers). We accidentally received the wrong dish after ordering the barramundi with the lady, and although the mistake was not his fault, Vincent sincerely apologized several times and even offered us free drinks while we waited for the correct meal. We noticed that some guests were also concerned about waiting times and food service, but Vincent handled these situations with patience and a positive attitude. He is a valuable member of the team.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciate the efforts of the staff. With some room upgrades and improvements to restaurant service during busy periods, the hotel could provide an even better guest experience in the future.

We found the Novotel CBD to be comfortable and in a great location. Rooms are a bit tired but bed was super comfy. Catherine at reception was very friendly and very helpful. We would stay again.

As a Diamond Accor member I will always preference Accor. Check-in and out was fine, Quyen the breakfast barista was a star! She is an asset
To the Novotel. I was upgraded and glad of this. But the shower leaked and the air con was noisy and leaky, there was water damage throughout the room.
It would have been worth knowing the hotel is undertaking major building works with tradies on site in the day.
The atrium is beautiful but was getting fixed
Up. The evening bar was nice, but so many other f us sitting alone enjoying our welcome drinks.
There is no welcome amenity which is unusual. This should be considered for platnium and diamond members.
The hotel is reasonable value but certainly not the best hotel in Darwin.

Whilst the room is very spacious it definitely doesn't boast harbour views as advertised. The decor is uninspiring and unloved. The advertised high speed internet is non existent and even though we enquired i to it 1 day ago we still have not received a response or improved internet connection. It just continuously buffers or cuts out. We had to ask for shower gel as ours was empty when we arrived and for a $445 per night establishment the toiletries are uninspired. There wasn't even complimentary water in our so called mini bar! The welcome on our TV is not even in our name! Noone answers the phone whether from an outside line or internal, we've tried both and staff are sparse sometimes MIA. They try very hard and it is clear they are understaffed. Our room is yet to be serviced and we dobt even have anything to put on our door for privacy or please service our room! I'm writing this now because we are staying for another 3 nights and it would be interesting to see if my issues are addressed or merely noted and apologised for after the fact as seems to be the case in most reviews I have read. Very disappointing and definitely not worth the money!
