HeliFish - Full Day Tour

Full Day HeliFish is our signature experience and one of the Top End’s most highly regarded fishing adventures. Travelling by helicopter allows us to cover large distances in a fraction of the time, accessing multiple remote locations in a single day, many of which can’t be accessed by other means of transport. The scale and remoteness of the areas visited means we rarely come across others. As a result, the fish stocks are consistently high with great variety increasing your chances of success. Target species include barramundi, salmon, mangrove jack and more. Every season one or more customers land their bucket-list “metery” on a HeliFish trip. The habitats we visit stretch from the Cape Hotham and Mary River region (to the north east of Darwin) all the way south to the abundant floodplains, coastal creeks and estuaries of the Daly River and Anson Bay region (refer map below). Where we visit on a particular day will depend on a range of factors including the season, weather / rainfall, tides, recent fishing success and of course our customers’ requests. Approx. 2hrs flying, 6hrs fishing, up to 5 locations Depart 08:15 – Return 16:00

HeliFish Pub Crawl Combo

This legendary day out as part of the HeliFish Pub Crawl Combo combines two of the Top End's favourite pastimes, fishing plus time at the pub with mates. The morning is spent Heli Fishing the half-day sites followed by time at iconic Top End pubs. Nirvana? Perhaps so. Morning - Half Day HeliFish and Afternoon Pub Crawl including iconic pubs that the Pilot will advise on the day based on season and conditions (Goat Island, Crab Claw and the Noonamah Tavern). Meet the people, publicans, characters and critters that make each one unique. Depart 08:15 – Return 15:30. Please note: drinks and pub food are pay as you go.
