Sandon Point Beach is extremely popular for surfing and many surfing tournaments have been held at this beach.
There is plenty of parking and open reserve for picnics and gatherings. Sandon Point Beach is located at Bulli, 11 kilometres north of the Wollongong central business district.
This pristine location is ideal for families, with a large reserve for picnicking located right on the beach. Surrounded by bushland, this proves popular for barbecues, and for Sydneysiders on day trips.
Sandon Point Beach is a Dog Friendly beach during certain times of day. Time sharing zone allows access on the beach on leash at certain times dependent on the season.
Clean and quite beach with the cafe near by. There were only few people at the beach. There were surfers and guys with jet-skies.
There are lots of picnic benches around by the side of the beach(without shade tho).

Got some real wide beaches and surf here, it's great!
Just don't go near Slacky Creek, pray it's outlet flow isn't too wide on the day you arrive so you must step in to get across. The pollution ain't the worst part, those sewer gremlins will get you, especially your children. Worst mistake you'll make.
Other than that it's a pretty nice beach would recommend.

Great place for a picnic with the family. Nice for surfing and swimming between the flags in summer.
