About

Darlington Campground is a campground within Maria Island National Park, managed by the Parks and Wildlife Service Tasmania.

This is a campground suitable for tent camping, situated behind the dunes at Darlington with easy access to the beach, making this your perfect base for your Maria Island adventure.

You will need to transport all your camping gear across on the ferry and from the jetty to the campground, so pack smart! Trolleys are available on the island.

The barbecue area has fireplaces for cold weather (firewood provided) and free gas barbecues. The campground is close to an amenities block with toilet facilities. All water on Maria Island is not potable and treatment is required, use purification tablets or boil for at least one minute before use.

The new Parks Online Booking System is being rolled out in November, designed to make it simpler for visitors to find, book and manage parks experiences (including camping). The system will allow visitors to make bookings online before heading off on their next adventure.
