Exceptional woodwork with beautiful Tasmanian wood. Beautiful bureaus, chairs, tables to screens and mirrors. My favourites were the retro cabinet and the tall boy both made with Huon pine wood🌲which is a honey colour. The staff were amazing so full of knowledge about the products and artists. In the shop you will not be able to resist buying something especially the wall hangings and pillow case covers with Tasmanian scenes to maybe a fine piece of silver jewellery. These pieces are works of art yet practical everyday items.
Stunning collection of handcrafted wood pieces. Lovely gift shop. Excellent service. Free entry. 10/10 wood recommend. Pun is also free. You're welcome.
A fantastic gallery and exhibition space for local designers and craftspeople to showcase their amazing creations. Some beautiful pieces on display and some for sale. It is inspiring to know there is such wonderfully talented people out there who can firstly imagine a design concept and then actually build the real thing with such incredible skill and precision. Definitely worth a visit.
Really enjoyed my visit to Design Tasmania today. The craftsmanship in the woodwork is incredible — each piece feels like art with a story. Peaceful space to wander and appreciate local design.
Brilliant place to visit displaying hand crafted furniture and craft items. Has a shop but brace yourself. Quality artisan work cost a bob or two. Right next to the city park as well. Free entry.
