Boxwood Villa is a rare and distinctive luxury retreat set within 10 acres of private bushland at the Boxwood Hotel and Spa. Located in the Mount Nelson area, it is just a short drive from Hobart's city centre, yet offers complete seclusion, surrounded by pristine Tasmanian wilderness.
The villa blends cutting-edge architecture with industrial luxe elegance, crafted from 23 repurposed shipping containers. Its bold design is enhanced by high-end finishes, bespoke interiors, and expansive floor-to-ceiling windows that invite the outdoors in. Every element has been thoughtfully curated to create an immersive stay, woven with privacy and tranquillity.
Guests can unwind in a private cinema, enjoy a game of pool on a black velvet table with panoramic views, or relax in the spa. Families will appreciate a dedicated children's playroom featuring toys, an indoor bouldering wall, and a custom-built slide. A quiet office with multi-screen functionality is available for business travellers needing to stay connected.
Overlooking Kunanyi (Mount Wellington) and immersed in natural beauty, Boxwood Villa offers a truly unique experience that balances contemporary design with the Australian landscape. Ideal for couples, families or small groups, it provides a peaceful escape with the convenience of city access just minutes away.
